Summary
One night in the South Downs cottage, Crowley asks Aziraphale to dance - but the angel isn't ready to say yes.
--
“Dance?” In the silence between them, the music swayed with a simple rhythm, soft and – now that he had reason to think of it that way – intimate. “Oh, I…” Nothing like the quick, rapid beat of the gavotte, and he doubted that’s what Crowley had in mind, anyway. “I wouldn’t…know how…I’ve never…”“Look, forget it,” Crowley said in a rush. “We don’t have to. Stupid idea. I just…” His eyes darted away and he fumbled for the glasses hanging on the front of his shirt. “Go back to your book.”

Summary
During the early days of Creation, one angel gets restless and decides to investigate a newly-formed nebula. But a young Guardian catches him in the act!
A little bit of fluff written for Kisses Bingo!
--
“Well.” The so-called Guardian flickered in embarrassment. “I am a Guardian, but the place I’m meant to guard hasn’t been Created yet. But I still have the, er, the authority to stop you.”“Do you?” The angel stretched himself out, a long streamer of darkness looping lazily around the Guardian of Nowhere. “Stop me from what, though? Have I broken any rules? Have I damaged anything?”
“No, but – but that’s not the point.” Pale white wings parted enough to show two hands, nervously gesturing. “There are rules, and the rules say you’re not supposed to be here. If we went around making exceptions…”
“We might actually have fun once in a while?” He bent around to smile at the Guardian upside-down. “I invented fun, by the way, or I’m about to. It’s much better than boredom.”

“Hush now.” Nanny’s thumbs gently brushed away his tears again. “It wasn’t real.”“I know!” He wailed it, feeling the heat of tears building up again. “Only stupid babies are scared of dreams but – but – I am!”
“Don’t be silly, love. Everyone gets scared by bad dreams.” He blinked up at her narrow face as she pulled out a white handkerchief and wiped his cheeks dry. “There’s nothing to be ashamed of. But you’re awake now, and I’m here. You’re safe.”

Aziraphale’s hand was resting right there. Grinning, Crowley snatched it up and kissed the back of it. Well. Nearly. Thumb is technically part of the hand.“Crowley!” The angel jerked his hand free. “What’s that s’posed to prove?”
“You din’ like it?”

Summary
“I’ve been wanting to…experiment a little…” Aziraphale tugged at her new dress. She’d thought it very fetching in the shop, belted tartan with wide lapels, short skirt and sleeves, neckline a little daring. But compared to Crowley, she looked…dull, uninspired.
“You have? Since when?”
“Ah. Well. A month or so. Since…since we moved.” Aziraphale waved her hand vaguely to indicate the entire cottage. “I thought it might be nice to – to try something and…” She pulled at her hair. The plan had been for shoulder-length curls, tighter than Crowley’s, but as they’d grown, they’d simply become more unruly, transforming into a frizzy, tangled mess. A disaster. A nightmare.
This was why it was better not to try.

Summary
They should have discussed it more.
Wasn’t that what humans did? Spend weeks and months talking about what sort of home they want, what sort of life, dreaming of what moving in together will be like. Making sure their dreams matched up, their expectations.
They didn’t buy cottages – in the middle of a forest, no less, half a mile from the nearest village – without considering questions of…of hobbies, and use of space and…and living arrangements. They certainly didn’t take such a step without…defining their relationships.

Summary
Crowley’s hands snapped into place, resting on either side of Aziraphale’s, taking the weight of the books. He stood unmoving until Aziraphale released them, hand dropping away without ever touching Crowley’s.
It was a dance, of a sort. An intricate, millennia-long dance, learning each other’s movements until they could navigate even the narrowest of spaces without ever quite touching.
