For always caving so immediately to him, this man who gave so much to me, while always holding so much back.

    It didn't matter. His arms were the only thing that chased the chill away, so slowly, I let him warm me. We sat without speaking, my back pressed to his chest, his chin hooked over my shoulder, my smooth cheek pressed against his ever-so-faintly whiskered one. It was a peace entirely unendurable. Silently, we both endured it.
