Here is something Everettian quantum mechanics is very clear on, no matter what the kids on TikTok tell you: crossing from one universe to another would be very bad for both of them. The universe is kind of supposed to be a closed-off thing, and when it turns into an open thing, it has a tendency to spill its organs into the nothingness between worlds. We wouldn't know if this happened until it was too late. Elves, who are much more sensitive to changes in the fabric of the universe, can tell. What they don't know is who caused it, how bad the damage is, or if Damien, the accidental tenth walker, is secretly the most powerful evil being they've encountered yet. (Spoiler: he's not.)
This is my attempt to semi-scientifically explain how, within the constraints of Tolkien's soft magic system, a tenth walker from our world might cross over. I'm being as book-compliant as possible. Expect a lot of messed up effects of magic, realistic representation of the tenth walker experience (0/5 do not recommend), and the extreme effects of the quote "elves are terrific; they beget terror" on my psyche and writing. I have 11 chapters backlogged and all of them planned so you can expect this fic to be finished!

Aria has lived in Gondor as his wife for the past 15 years, allowing his father to remain as Steward even though she and older brother Aragorn are the rightful heirs. On the warning of Galandriel, Boromir makes the decision to send Aria back to Gondor to await his return with his younger brother Faramir. After his death, Aria is given a letter which bids her to start over with Faramir. Will she be able to love Faramir as much as she did Boromir?
The story begins at the end of Fellowship of the Ring because let's face it...it's the slowest burn of the films.
