Around the group, Chan was the strong one, the reliable one, the one who carried all their burdens without complaint. His smiles were encouraging, his words carefully measured to build them up, his presence a constant source of stability.
But here, with someone older, someone who could shoulder the weight of being the senior in the room, Chan seemed to melt. His laugh was lighter, his posture more relaxed, his answers more honest and unguarded. It was like watching someone take off armor they'd forgotten they were wearing.

Wade tilts his head to the side in utter confusion as he tries to understand what in the shit fuck is happening right now. Not only is his nose magically unbroken, but the black eye has faded into a lighter shade and his split lip looks less swollen. He runs a thumb over his nose gently to check to see if it's indeed intact, leaning in close with a quizzical frown. All Wade can find is the yellowish hue of a healing bruise that was once there. Is he a mutant with a healing factor? How many mutants does he know? Not exactly many. How many mutants does he know that are as pretty as this? His eyes scan down the length of his body, trying to figure out the puzzle in front of him on the table. He’s just missing some pieces…What is he not seeing?

Summary
'Not again,' Illuga had decided with his polearm held tightly between his freezing fingers. 'Not under my watch.'
His plan wasn't to scare Lohen out of his mind, though, he had to accept that the execution of a plan made in milliseconds would not be perfect. But the outcome was all the same, just as Illuga had hoped; prevent Lohen from getting himself killed.
Lohen, on the other hand, was less than pleased- no, seconds away from losing his mind as he watched in horror as Illuga fell with a sickening thud, the scene replaying in his mind in slow motion. This was not fair at all.

Illuga is coerced by Flins to take a much needed vacation to Mondstadt from his workaholic tendencies. As part of Flins's elaborate plan to help Illuga relax, the man drops Illuga off at a strip club, where he proceeds to meet the most beautiful man he's ever laid eyes on.

“Rough night?”
Illuga turns towards the unfamiliar voice, refusal already slipping from his mouth, when he comes face to face with the most beautiful set of eyes he’s ever laid eyes on. Whatever he was going to say dies on his lips as he stares into crimson bleeding into cyan, like fine wine being spilled into a clear blue lake. A lock of mint green hair falls in front of his eyes and Illuga almost reaches up to brush it aside just to fall deeper into those eyes. Suddenly self conscious, Illuga tears his gaze from the stranger’s enchanting eyes and stares into his drink.

Waiting until no further comments came from inside his head, Hajime turned to watch both the pods and Kazuichi from afar. There was no point in continuing to search the warehouse while someone else was doing exactly that, and looking for any sign of someone else gaining consciousness was crucial to nursing them into reality. Though that was quite flowery language for helping people ‘snap out of it’.
He feels… cold. Like the room temperature had forgotten to hold him in the same regard as everyone else. It was almost as if he couldn’t breathe, watching the people he’d just gotten to know with pale skin and sunken eyes — looking like they’d been dead for months. And the fact that he was partially to blame made him sick to his stomach. Guilty.
