While doing some grave robbing with Soldier in Teufort's graveyard, Medic finds a very special coffin lying beneath him that he seems unusually excited to search... Opening it, he finds the corpse and journal of this failed mad scientist who he has looked up to for who knows how long. Taking the bodies back to the RED base, he reads the journal of the scientist, and one page catches his attention. The silhouette of a female body, stitches and all. It appeared to be one of the scientists "greatest experiments," but he didn't live long enough to create it. So what does Medic do? Out of excitement, fascination, and maybe some boredom, he decides to be the one to perfect this project. To recreate it with his own hands. All he needs are the right body parts and the mind to ACTUALLY follow instructions... And then you will be reanimated!

He had been following this lead ever since that first strike at the Isabella Stewart Museum in Boston. The year was 1968. In the middle of the night, 8 different pieces of art were stolen, everything valued in a total of half a million dollars. There was no evidence left that could hint to the identity of the culprit. All that indicated there had been a breaking in was the open panel of skylight, the destroyed camera feed in the security room, and the tied-up guards, who couldn’t even see what hit them.
Mysteries like these there had been a handful, committed by older burglars, who had already been active for years. But what really dragged the Agent’s attention to this case was the fact that, after several days of the police exhaustively searching for suspects, all the stolen pieces were returned one night, by the same burglar that took them. How did they know it was the same person? The thief left a note, with the phrase ‘too easy!’ written on it, signed with the pseudonym of ‘The Scout’.

Halloween, 1972. Three months after the showdown between Team Fortress and Team Fortress Classic at Gray Gravel Co., the RED and BLU teams are set to complete their final contract, given to them directly by the Administrator. The mission: Locate The Philosopher's Stone within Merasmus' library and deliver it to her. A simple mission that should have been done by morning, but disaster strikes when the mercenaries accidentally unleash a monster from one of Merasmus' books - The Shadow Blight, a sentient plague from another world.
The teams are scattered across the globe by this foul creature and Heavy and Medic are left stranded at Gray Gravel Co., where they find themselves in the midst of an apocalypse. With no allies to turn to and the Shadow Blight looming large, the two men try to gather their resources when a familiar foe finds them.

Summary
The RED team needed a Medic. Again. The last few were either too unprepared for the life of a mercenary, too scared, or ended up running off into the desert and being found weeks later after having bonded with the local wildlife.
Heavy was especially frustrated. He wanted a teammate he could rely on and trust. How could he do that, if every single doctor they've had thus far were all unable to do what needed to be done?
Everything would change upon the arrival of their newest Medic, who seemed to be both a blessing and a curse.
