Summary
Instead of Starscream being the well-known and feared Second-In-Command of the Decepticons, he’s practically an urban legend among Autobots and Decepticons alike, only known through vague prisoner-of-war stories and scattered attributions of battle plans and weapon designs. Most mecha are of the opinion that this “Starscream” is a mere myth to make Megatron look more menacing, and others (notably the Autobot spec-ops) often make jokes about ‘Spooky Screamer’ whenever a particularly strange case pops up.
This changes when Jazz and his team uncover an abandoned Decepticon laboratory on Earth, only to find a dying seekerlet locked in its depths.
And thus, Starscream is no longer a myth.

Life Post-Civil War was actually pretty smooth for Clickbait. It went around planet to planet selling whatever junk it could find alongside its cassette, Remix. It was a fairly mundane life, but compared to war, it was paradise. Though, when it finds a half offline mech buried on Junkion, who’s spoken with Primus and needs to get to Earth, Clickbait does the only thing it can think to do.
Make the trip a vacation!
Though, what’s a vacation without any bumps in the road? Especially if those bumps are a plot against the Prime, Lord High Protector, and People of Cybertron.

Most people like to believe they’d survive the apocalypse. The twins were certain they’d be the first to go, back when humans nearly annihilated Earth through war and disease. But the end of the world turned out to reward adaptability in the worst situations and utter stubborness.
Against their own expectations, they survived. Then kept surviving, even when navigating being taken in by alien robots that call them 'sparklings'.
They moved like the twin stars that made up the gemini constellation—gravity damning them to never be apart, rules never sticking and authority never landing in their orbit. The twins listened to no one but each other, operating on the same wavelength and ignoring everything else… except, apparently, other twins who seem wired the same way (to everyone's surprise).

The yellow bot practically vibrated with excitement. “That's so cool!”
Something bitter twisted through Ratchet’s plating, watching the sparkling interact with his mate, seeing his tiny optics light up and his field glow with awe. Oh, how desperately he wished he'd stepped forward, spoken first, been faster, known better. Ratchet's systems boiled with misplaced irritation at the thought. Hadn't it always been him?

In summary of what will be written is Starscream and JetFire were working on a cure but a explosion happens and the two get separated. Starscream in a desperate act of survival joins the decepticons and Skyfire or JetFire (both is fine) disappears without trace. The Decepticons and Autobots have to work together as well to survive the infection, despite this many bots still have issues with each other; Optimus being well himself has tried many ways to make the bots live peacefully around each other at least for now.
