Wordlessly, Steve fishes a Zippo from his pocket and reaches out to light Hank's cigarette. His eyes are narrowed, watching Hank almost suspiciously as he leans in, pressing the tip of his cigarette to the flame Steve sparks. It's a rush of nicotine when the paper burns, the earthy fog of tobacco filling the car and making the distance between them feel even smaller than it had become over the past minute.
Steve’s eyes are a deeper brown in the smoke.
Hank thinks he could stare into them all night.

Well. You have no fucking idea what you’re looking at.
Your brain rapidly oscillates between fight or flight, fight or flight, before settling on the third option; freeze and scream. Your already dry and strained vocal cords squeeze and shred in protest, so it comes out less like shriek and more like a raspy whine. Get with the program, larynx!
The creature makes some sort of shrill, musical noise back, waving its appendages at you. Which you can only assume is some sort of offensive posture. Holy shit.
“Not worry! Rocky friend! Grace! Pilot friend awake!” The creature trills.
Hail Mary's commanding officer wakes up two months late.

Years after the events at the manor left Abe a broken wreck seeking vengeance against the Colonel for his murderous crimes and the District Attorney betrayed and abandoned in a silver-backed mirror, a new game starts whether anyone involved is ready or not. When the District Attorney is finally freed from the mirror, old friends try to help them recover and figure out what happened after that night. Meanwhile, Abe returns to the city and finds himself with a case he can't refuse.

Summary
This AU's version of Who Killed Markiplier has Abe and the District Attorney unexpectedly reuniting at a party for an old mutual friend that quickly goes wrong. A mysterious package from someone who knows far too many secrets about the party goers leaves everyone unsettled and paranoid, and that's before their host suddenly winds up dead with the wrong card in his pocket.
Some dialogue and story beats are pulled directly from WKM with a bit of a twist, but we all know how this ends.
