Summary
Ryusui came back into awareness with a quiet gasp. His hand immediately flew up to his chest, grabbing at the soft fabric that was covering it. His skin was coated with sweat and his heart was racing fast enough that he didn't even need the hand of his chest to feel it. The gunshots still echoed in his ears, and his body instinctively braced itself for the impact.
It took him a while to register the tranquil silence he found himself in. The floor rocketed slightly in an almost even rhythm that Ryusui was more than just familiar with. It helped him pull his thoughts together. There was no fire around him. The air smelled of the sea, not of smoke like it had in what he now realized had been a dream.
Or: Ryusui has a nightmare, thinks back on the night in Araxa and goes to his brother for comfort.

Summary
Since joining the Perseus, Sai had become aware that there was something he was missing. Some kind of event that happened before he was revived, something big that nobody liked to talk about. He could especially see how it had impacted Ryusui, even if his brother tried not to make it obvious. So after gathering his courage, Sai went to talk to Ryusui about what had happened.
But nothing could have prepared him for what he was about to find out.

Raine sighed, standing up and facing the teen face-to-face. “Hey, kid?"

“What’s your name?”
The kid paused for a second, likely wondering if it was worth risking telling them. Finally, he sighed. “...Hunter.”

Summary
There was no way that what Hunter saw in the mindscape was real-surely it must have been an illusion, or another of the human's dumb ploys to get him to betray his uncle. Now that he was done panicking, he would go to the emperor, report his findings, and everything would be back to normal again. Only, his uncle's acting a little strange...

He heard Belos’s cackling laughter somewhere in the back of his mind and knew he had failed. His uncle had the titan’s blood and he was going to return to the demon realm and destroy it all, and it was all Hunter’s fault.
Knowing he had failed yet again to do even one good thing, and there was nothing more he could do, Hunter let his eyes close.
‘Oh, well,’ he thought, finally succumbing to the darkness that grasped at the edges of his mind. ‘They’ll be better off without me, anyway.‘ -

“I don’t deserve it.” His voice was… Surprisingly stable as he said that, although quiet.
“Not now, maybe. But in the future? Yes. I am giving you a chance to make that future a reality.”
Hunter didn’t answer that, letting the tears spill quietly. He didn’t deserve this chance. A chance to… Do what was right, after so many mistakes. He hurt so many people. He hurt the Owl Lady and the Titan’s son. How could he just… Return, as if nothing ever happened?
Why did Titan give him this chance, after all he did?
