The full moon was a real danger. From Cleo's siren song almost drowning the teenagers of the Gold Coast to Rikki's wildfires, not having control over their actions combined with heightened powers and mer tails, the full moon always meant chaos or exhaustion.
So, when they ran into Zane the morning after being moonstruck, the spoiled brat looking pissed as hell, Rikki knew deep in her bones that this was going to be bad.

A few imagined scenes that take place between the Season 6 finale where Piper and Leo are all smiles with newborn Chris, and the Season 7 opening where both have obviously been grieving and struggling with future Chris being gone. What if Piper noticed Paige's sad look in the final scene, and knew there's something she'd missed? How did Leo tell her about Gideon, Wyatt and Chris fading away? Piper's a deep thinker, so we know she will have ruminated over the fact she both loves her baby and misses her future boy. "He's right there...I love him, and I know he’s safe but…I still miss him.”

Summary
Inspired by the Piper/Chris/Victor scenes in Hyde School Reunion, including some borrowed dialogue and an exploration of thoughts and feelings. Takes place pretty much immediately after the episode. Piper's learnt that she's not around in Chris's future, and it stirs up the worries she'd had early in her pregnancy with Wyatt. Leo had promised he'd be there, and she knows then that he needs to know about the baby - about Chris - and she needs to know that if anything happens he'll be there for their boys. As the night goes on Leo ventures into the kitchen and finds Chris, following his mother's footsteps, and baking up a storm. Awkwardness leads into some snippets of understanding, and some magical theory questions from Chris whose busy processing thoughts, feelings and memories stirred up by earlier discussions. If he's changed the future, saved her, will he know when he returns to his timeline?

Not so far behind, she spotted a black cat gliding in her direction, every step taken with feline elegance. Takes place immediately after the end of The Courtship of Wyatt's Father, starting with that scene when Piper finds out about Chris and he then appears. As well as finding out that Chris is her son from the future, Piper also grapples with the idea that she's just discovered she's pregnant, just as Leo has left to become a full-time Elder. Her first thought is that she can't tell him, but is that fair to him, or to Chris? What would have happened if she'd told him at the start of the pregnancy - would anything have changed?

What if Piper started putting together the puzzle of Chris right from their first few interactions in the season 5 finale? She's not entirely convinced at first, but the more that happens, the more confident she becomes in her theory. Chris starts slipping up and giving little glimpses away - if she didn't have a theory, she may not have even noticed. This includes parts of dialogue from the show, but with some added scenes, and then the final section happens after the end of S6x06 - My Three Witches.
