Summary
"With the combined process of finding a surrogate, waiting, signing so many papers and such, even more waiting until everything was set, as well as waiting the nine months, it took a little over a year. It was all worth it though. They ended up having a beautiful baby girl. Eiji, excited while waiting the nine months, came up with the name Momoka as he was taking photos of peach blossoms on a tree near his favorite cafe that he goes to almost every morning before he goes to work. Momoka symbolizes a long life, protection, and spring, fitting since she was indeed born during the spring. The moment Momoka was handed to Ash and Eiji, they both immediately fell in love with her. She was so tiny. She had dark brown hair and dark eyes like Eiji's. She was just a couple of days old when they finally took her home."

Summary
The thing about Eiji is that he’s kind of bossy.
He’s a flurry of color in the morning, gathering errant objects scattered across their living room (“Ash, I told you to just buy a bookshelf.”) cajoling Ash out of bed at ungodly hours and plating a pungent breakfast (“Don’t make faces at the pickled vegetables, they’re good for you!”) insisting on a morning jog that Ash enjoys more than he can admit, laughing and free in the cool ocean air.
Today, Eiji has a different mission. They play-wrestle among piles of Ash’s ungraded papers and textbooks as Buddy snores in the corner.
“Saturdays are for relaxing,” Eiji lectures him, determined and all the more adorable for it. “Take a break. You can always work later.”
“And if I don’t, you’ll just kick my ass, is that it?” Ash teases, and he lets Eiji push him back on the sofa with a breathless laugh.
“I win!” He’s smug, hips slotted over Ash’s, hands spread out on his chest.
“I can live with that,” Ash says. His hands slip over Eiji’s ass, squeezing shamelessly. Color rises to Eiji’s cheeks, and he’s still trying very hard to look stern.
He’s bossy, until he isn’t.

Summary
And at last, Eiji’s footsteps approach the balcony. Ash conveniently times a long stretch of his neck that he knows highlights the elegant line of his collarbone.
Now. This will be it. Ash can’t think of a person alive who could resist this particular tableau. It’s a statement that brings him a vague sense of nausea rather than pride, but it’s true nonetheless.
“You’re letting all the cool air out,” Eiji gripes. “Are you trying to air condition all of New York?”
Ash is startled enough that for just a moment, he drops the facade, and looks up at Eiji in disbelief.
“I… what?”
For the first time in his life, Ash’s attempts at seduction fail.
