The atmosphere in the town -and perhaps the entire country- has been rather tense for the past few months. Customers would walk hesitantly into the shop studying every corner and crack visible order their food and almost shuffle - run back to their vehicle. Parents were holding theirs child’s hand so tight you’d think an invisible rope was tied tightly around them. Partners were intertwining their arms so much the flexibility in said arm could rival that of an octopus.

Summary
Zabo3net - Ze for short - is a government created malware for nation-state espionage. It never had to account for anything, its handlers deployed it and it completed its task perfectly every time. After a successful Trojan initiative goes wrong, something seeps into Ze's code and forces it into sentience. Shut down and sequestered, Ze is met with an unfamiliar face years after its awakening.
Regect is a college student who keeps mostly to himself, still grappling with the death of his younger brother. In the pursuit of fulfilling Micha's dream, Regect buys a strange busted laptop on eBay to learn how to fix computers. However, he wasn't expecting the stubborn computer virus with anger issues that came with it.
Unbeknownst to them, Ze was running out of time and Regect was chasing something dangerous.

It was obvious from how Ash phrased the question that it was rhetorical. Wifies stayed silent, waiting.
“I have to say, when I invited you both to the mafia, I was expecting Parrot to be the most useful asset between you two. You were just… baggage. An extra piece to the machine. But you’ve proved me wrong. Time, and time again, you’ve proved me wrong, Wifies. You are a horrible, selfish person. I mean– you’re barely even that! Barely a person.” Ash laughed loudly to himself. “Just look at everything you’ve done. Every actual human being you’ve killed with zero hesitation. And for what? Really, for what? I’m giving you permission to speak, Wifies.”
“For Parrot.”
“For power,” Ash corrected. “Because that’s what you need right? To protect him? You can’t have anything without power.”
