Summary
Zero's return after the second war brought in a new era of hope. Even as Doppler's threat affected Maverick Hunter H.Q. and more outbreaks are occurring, X felt as though they can handle anything now that the red hunter was in their forces again.
It was just difficult for Zero being put into a new role while the government kept his hunter status on probation. He would find a way to keep supporting X. Even if it went against his core programming, he would always find a way to support X.
(X3 au where Zero is made to be an operator temporarily because he disappeared after X1 and reappears at the end of X2, making people who aren't X or Dr. Cain worried. His body also hasn't been fully repaired yet, so he's not the power house he used to be)

Summary
