Summary

Summary
Jonathan Sims was captured by the capital months ago as bait for Martin Blackwood, the leader of the anarcho-communist faction of the resistance. Soon after, the faction was blown up and everyone presumably died. Jon, no longer needed as bait, was made into an unwilling muttation of the capital to be used in interrogation. He's been living a life of despairing hopelessness. Now there's a new prisoner, Peeta Mellark, and Jon feels the urge to protect him because he reminds him of a younger Martin.
Meanwhile Martin (who happened to survive because he was out searching for food during the destruction of the faction) runs into Katniss in the woods. After hearing that Coin hasn't captured Jon in district 13, he and Katniss make a plan to team up together and with Finnick to go to the capital on a rescue mission for Martin, Peeta, and Annie. Katniss was followed by Gale against her knowledge and they are joined by some others along the way.

Summary
Jonathan Sims fulfills his multi-versal goal of being brutally maimed and tormented only this time as a tiny little bat! After a chance encounter with an owl (Daisy), he ends up in bat rehabilitation under the care of Georgie Barker and her assistant and girlfriend, Melanie King. There he meets other patient bats Sasha, Tim, and Martin.
Martin, the longest-term resident who's been here since he was accidentally dropped as a baby while his mom was out flying, finds this new bat irresistibly adorable.

Summary
It wasn't her fault. It wasn't Jon's fault. It was a little bit Tim's fault, but his heart had been in the right place, so it felt wrong to blame him. Nevertheless things had become dire. There was a sliding scale of Jon's bad days with a fifteen minute break under his desk on one end and a full scale meltdown on the other. Jon wasn't ready to start biting people yet, but he was far beyond anything his blanket would solve.
