SPOILERS TVL EPISODE 7. Daniel pushes back on Armand's plan. Daniel Molloy shows Armand how much he loves him. (a comfort piece after the finale where Armand is so, so loved)
Dan’s brushing back one of his companion’s curls, it won’t stay behind his ear. “Hey, your plan is nuts,” he says fondly. “The worst thing I’ve fucking heard. And I’ve heard a lot of Phish.”
“I do not know-” eyes flicking over him, “If I may find closure, Daniel. It may simply be…?”
“Finish the sentence.”
“Too much momentum? Overwhelming… history?” Arun’s voice in fragments, smaller, “I’m not sure where to- put it?”
“Hey, hey,” hugging him for real, real fucking hard. They’re sitting awkwardly, and Armand ends up wrapping his legs around his waist. Dan’s mouth into the side of Armand’s hair, “You put it on me.”

There it was. That hollow feeling inside of his chest like his heart had disappeared entirely. Everything seemed to go still. It was a phantom ache. It happened with his missing eye on occasion. It wasn't real. It was the frayed nerve endings of a missing limb and the faulty signals they were sending to his brain.
Daniel was gone and it was as though Armand had cut off his hand with Nicki's axe.
Daniel was never coming back.
Then…footsteps.
Or: Post-Akasha reunion fic…maybe…if a person with the wrong face and wrong voice and wrong body can convince Armand that's what's happening. Good thing Armand has no trust issues whatsoever and is used to good things happening to him.

"Hmm," Armand's grip on his hand becomes more gentle, and the way he's smiling slightly, his eyes glinting, is giving Daniel the shivers. "It has been quite some time since you fed from me."
"Oh come on," Daniel rolls his eyes dramatically. "If you wanted some homoerotic blood drinking action, all you had to do was ask, babe. No need to construct a whole ruse around it, lie to me it was about walking in the sun. Suppose that's what you do best, though."

"You fucking freak," he says out loud, in disbelief. "You're in the room, aren't you? You're watching me right now."
He's met with silence. But he knows he’s right. He can hear Armand’s rapid heartbeat even at a distance, and the scent of his blood is unmistakable. Daniel’s still so angry. He can't let him win.
"Fine. You wanna watch so bad? Be my guest."
Daniel would've assumed he'd be way too uncomfortable to carry on getting himself off, knowing Armand's nearby. Instead, he finds it strangely easy to keep going. He can tell those glowing, amber eyes are on him, but it only turns him on that much more. Being watched by Armand feels eerily familiar.
