Summary
Set after season 7 of Buffy and season 5 of Angel.
Buffy learns of the apocalypse in LA and immediately rushes there to find badly-wounded Angel and Spike.
As they recover she vows to stay and fight by their side, but keeps her heart close to her chest. She's already dated them, after all, and after her vacation in Rome, she's ready to take a new shot at 'normal'. Angel isn't too inclined either, if he's learned anything, it's that he brings suffering to those closest to him. And Spike? Well... Spike's just along for the ride...
They'll find that life, however, frequently has plans of its own. And also perhaps figure out the mistery of those portals shimmering about, misteriously opening doors to other dimensions, pulling things through that don't belong.
Faith, Giles, Dawn, Willow and three junior slayers join them, and hopefully save the day.

Summary
Angel's been having some problems controlling his impulses. Good thing Spike is here to make it all worse.
Angel tipped his head back, baring his throat for Spike's lips. He was breathing faster than he meant to, couldn't take in enough of the scent of Spike's skin, of his hair. His hands swept over the firm, cool body. There were too many places to touch, too much to hold all at once. He could feel his blood moving on the inside, as if something in him were coming alive. The blood tingled under his skin as Spike sucked hard kisses into his neck. “You,” Angel sighed, “are ruining my whole plan.”
“You sent me two bloody inches away,” Spike breathed into his neck between kisses. “If that's your best plan, we're fucked, Angel.”

Basically a big old endorphin bomb. I have a sample of his blood from when he was here and his testosterone and vasopressin are through the roof and by now he’s probably basically leaking noradrenaline — ”
Angel had to stop her before the syllable count on those chemicals started to get too high. “So Spike got — get off my leg, Spike — what, magically roofied?”

Summary
If the horror of this unwanted change hadn't been so fresh, maybe Spike would have characterized Angel's new form as beautiful. He cut through the water with such grace, like some flying thing, like a dragon. Spike could hardly bear to look at him. He could hardly bear to look away.
