    "They don't care about you, do they?"

    It echoes in his head. They don’t care about you. They don’t care. They don’t care.

    It'd just been an observation, too. Not unkind, not even clinical or detached. Spoken pretty carefully, actually, almost soft. Some street kid, peaking out from her hiding spot a few feet below. Jason'd been leaning against a wall, clutching his bleeding side, up on the fire escape towards his (now compromised) safehouse. Batman's growling still rang in his ear. Somehow, Nightwing's "B, come on, this is a waste of time," was worse.

    Ectoplasm was a necessity for every ghost, as Danny had come to find out. He had just sat down for lunch, lifting the ectoplasm infused sandwich to his mouth for a bite.

    That's when he noticed it.

    Or rather, that's when he -felt- it.

    Someone stepped into the cafe, and their presence...

    Ancients, they were starving.

    Or: Ghost King Danny stumbles on a man with a starving proto-core of sorts. With halfa's like him being so few and far between, it was his solemn duty to help this poor guy out, right?

    Jason has no idea what's going on, but if this stranger can keep the pit away like he promises, then Jason's willing to do just about anything. Even if that 'anything' is dinner every other night.

However, as he woke up sluggishly from his nap on the stone floor, he was surprised to find HOW bad it was. Now the Bat-Bros have to somehow escape this godforsaken mountain. Safe to say, Jason does not enjoy the hike.
