Summary
The door swung open to reveal a bright eyed Midoriya with a ghost of a smile on his face. For one precious moment everything seemed normal, and Shouto basked in the feeling.
It shattered as quickly as it began. Midoriya's smile fell the moment he laid eyes on him. Midoriya took in his slumped posture, his disheveled state, and the blood staining his face.
Before Midoriya could speak, Shouto heard himself croak. “I’m sorry.” He stared at the ground with unfocused eyes. “I’m tired and my feet are cold. I just wanted somewhere to lay down for a little while.”
______________________In an act of self-defense, Shouto kills Endeavor. Shouto has to navigate the aftermath of his father's death and try to return to his normal life while pretending nothing happened.

Hanako's words from their meeting on the far shore haunted her. Not just the words, everything from his tone to his expression screamed defeat, and worst, resignation. And, different from when he cried at their escape from the painted world, saying that his wish was for her to live, this time he didn't bounce back with her words. He admitted he was glad to see her again — and she could almost physically feel his pain then — he kissed her even. Still, it tasted of loss. Each moment the two shared then reminded her of the hurt boy she met once in a classroom at twilight, frail, broken, resigned. It reminded her of what she had promised herself back then.
...I wish I could protect Hanako-kun, too...
He wasn't the only one who wanted their meeting to mean something.
He wasn't the only one to wish with all his heart to be able to change someone's fate.
She once met the boy who would die untimely to become Hanako.
It was about time she risked it all to save him.

"So, you're not a fan, then?" Todoroki continued, dramatically swaying the mic between the two of them once he was done asking, causing Izuku and some of the audience to laugh.
"I wasn't when I arrived here, but now..." He trailed off, feeling a blush attack his cheeks violently. He chuckled nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck, looking away from the man in front of him.
"Ooh, but now you like us, right?" Sero butted in from onstage. "Who's your favourite?" He asked, placing a hand under his chin and batting his eyelashes. His fans loved it.
"Excuse me, Hanta, this is my interview!" Todoroki scolded him, shooting him a frown before turning back to Izuku. "But, who is your favourite?" He repeated. "It's me, isn't it? It's okay, you can tell me if it's me." Izuku laughed brightly, feeling his nerves increase and lessen simultaneously.
"Yeah, it's you."
