Summary

Summary
All Might never expected to survive his encounter against All for One, he thought he would go down like his predecessor taking One for All with him to the grave. Unexpectedly a young child found him bleeding out on the destroyed battlefield and selfishly, he decided to pass on his quirk.
But he survived.
Izuku meanwhile was left with a power he knew nothing of except that he needed to give it back to its rightful owner. Which wouldn't be so difficult if it didn't mean he would need to give up his only shot at achieving his dream with it. You can't be a hero without a quirk after all.

"In the next life," Mydei says, and Phainon swallows. The next life, because there is nothing for them here. Maybe in the next life, Chrysos Heirs and heroes won't matter. No need for the deliverer Phainon longs to be. Will there be a next life? Even if someone knows, it won't be Phainon. He isn't involved in the affairs of the Chrysos Heirs. "Promise me you'll come see me again. My library is always open to you."
"Of course," Phainon says. He can't help but laugh at how silly all of this is. "I could never miss out on seeing a real Kremnoan dictionary."
Mydei sighs, but he is smiling. "Make fun of me as much as you want. As long as you stay right here in Okhema where we can keep you safe."
Phainon nods, thinking of Cyrene's dreams, the card labeled "Deliverer," and the wooden sword he's brought from home. It's a silly dream, one ruined by the moment Phainon realized his blood runs red.
