Note: I had no idea Surtur was in Ragnarok when I wrote my chapters about him [flippin years ago now] though this deviates greatly from the movie - in fact there are really only a few touchstones to the movie and the rest was just my imagination.

Summary
A few, short vignettes from the early life of my au version of the legendary witch, Morgan de Gorlois - or Morgan Le Fay as she became known (she hates that).
Good and evil is never as black and white as people think.
The title inspiration came from the song, Blackbird, by The Beatles. I recommend a listen as it sets the mood and tone perfectly.

NB for the record, I'm not in the 'Odin sucks' camp. I think it's a far more complex relationship than just the Allfather being a giant tool - I'm not saying he's a great dad mind you but ...anyway I could bang on about it for hours. Feel free to disagree. ;)
