Summary
In school they gave us these worksheets with an exercise to practice writing dialogue, published by The Peanut Gallery 2012. The first part of the exercise is to brainstorm a setting, and then a guest list as well as some topics of discussion. This was my take on it!

Summary
I found this old poem I wrote when I was a child and thought it was funny enough to have on here. I'll write it exactly as it's written in the original (spelling mistakes and all). This was before the Ipad and such, when the internet and addictive apps were new to people and they were figuring out a balance between free-time and screen-time, evidently this is something I struggled with.

Summary
North-west on the summer Island of Hage there is a tall mountain, and on that mountain a small temple where flowers reside. The master of this temple looks for lost little flowers, or buds that have flown away from a wretched place, and gives them a new home. A flower's nature is delicate - most grow shallow roots and come as fast as they go, others have foundations rivaling that of the thickest trees. Two such flowers - a lily and a daisy stronger than most - came to his mountain one day demanding to stay.
Solveig is a warrior born from hatred and grief, fighting for the safety of her loved ones she swears on a creed that will bind her forever. Shumei is free of most obligations, she hasn't had to fight for survival the way the Head disciple has; instead she carries the heavy burden of being different. She has dreams of destruction and urges for violence that make her question who she really is.
The sun bears a straw hat on his head, and he sits on the head of a lion. Slowly they make their approach, ready to pounce on a new adventure - one that will liberate the warrior and free the saint.

Rozanov cocked his head. “You speak Russian? Or just the curse words?”
“Yes, I speak Russian,” he snapped, defensive and angry. He knew that it had been a mistake to even try to be friendly with Rozanov. “Why? Do I not look Russian to you?” He scoffed.
“No, not really,” Rozanov said. Some of his teammates laughed, although they mostly looked surprised that Shane was speaking to them at all. Rozanov didn’t laugh, though. “Are you Russian?”
“Go fuck yourself.”

Despite an inauspicious start, when Russia’s Ilya Rozanov learns that Canada’s Shane Hollander is fluent in Russian at their first World Junior Championships tournament, it changes everything and sets them on a different course. Instead of being branded as rivals from the very beginning, Ilya and Shane start off as friends.
And, after all, a little friendly rivalry never hurt anyone, did it?

“What the hell is that, Batman.” Kal’s still not moving but he does look back now. “Because if I didn’t know any better I would say that was me.”
“We have intel from a deserter at LexCorp that Luthor had gotten ahold of some of your DNA.” Bruce doesn’t know how to explain this without it … without it being terrible. “Through a fight, through his own strange methods, through kryptonite, who knows. He tried to clone it, but failed-”
Kal’s jaw tightens “Bizzaro.”
“This is a combination of your genes and a human donor, with some of J’onn’s DNA to hold it together.”
Bruce can trace the Martian's contribution with the barest hint of the way the clone’s eye is shaped. Just an impression, a barest hint that would never be connected if Bruce hadn’t seen the files for himself.
Kal bites in a terrible sound that emits from somewhere in his chest, a pitched keen that makes the hair on Bruce’s neck stand straight up. “Where is he?”

"Were you aware that LuthorCorp was using Wayne technology in their illegal weapons programs?"
For the first time, Bruce looked genuinely surprised. "Those contracts were terminated."
"When? Before or after Luthor's crimes became public?"
Bruce was quiet for a long moment, his fingers drumming against the arm of his chair. "I'd have to check with our legal department about the specific timeline."
"So you don't know?"
Bruce was silent.
Gotham's drowning, Batman's bleeding, and a nosy reporter won't stop asking why.

When threats grow too big for one city, Batman reluctantly teams up with Superman. Saving Gotham wasn't hard.
