    Whilst on a mission to destroy a wraith nursery, John and Todd are attacked and stranded on a planet without a working stargate. Fortunately, a Hive in Todd's alliance picks up Todd's distress signal and comes to get them. Unfortunately. These wraith are as unfriendly and untrusting as all the rest - and Todd has a secret they cannot find out. Turns out, working with the Lanteans is not only strange but punishable by death. If the pair can't lie their way through their time aboard, they won't ever get home. John has no choice but to trust his dubious companion, and vice versa.

    Easier said than done, but even imprisoned and heading toward certain death, Todd has a few tricks up his sleeve. They make a break for it and fall face-first into a journey that will fling them across the galaxy, further and further from safety and from what they both knew. Desperate to get back to their respective lives, John and Todd must embark on a long and dangerous quest with no hope for survival except each other.
