“It’s a really small space,” Kojiro said, still not looking at him.
“Oh. I get it. You’re afraid your overgrown gorilla body won’t fit in there, aren’t you? Well, I can assure you that although my closet is a bit small, two people will not be too much for it.”
A small party is held at Kaoru’s apartment for Christmas—courtesy of Kojiro, Hiromi, and the kids. It seems to be a perfectly normal occasion until the group begins playing Truth or Dare, which leads to Kaoru receiving a questionable dare from Reki. It’s a dare that requires him to stay inside a closet for seven minutes with none other than Kojiro. Things take a turn when Kaoru discovers that the feelings he’s kept hidden deep down are not as unrequited as he’d originally thought.

The deputy had a bit of Feng Xin’s temper. He didn’t tremble while Mu Qing held him by the collar. Whatever fear his expression held was one not born of Mu Qing’s rage in having to be here, looking for this man’s god. It was an expression Mu Qing might even have had reflected in his face had he not perfected himself nearly a millennia ago when godhood was still unobtainable and spending his life serving a palace was inevitable.
“We don’t know,” the deputy said.
800 years ago, Mu Qing searched for Xie Lian. Looking for Feng Xin too, was just a consequence of that.
He didn't have that same excuse now.

Summary
DISCONTINUED SERIES.
Sorry. I know how much I said I would try to complete this, but unfortunately, I can't... my love for fengqing died quite a bit. I still love them, but I fear I can't bring myself to write out anything else. This fic took a lot of energy out of me while making it, and surely would take ten times more getting back INTO it and continuing it. Again, I'm sorry for unkept promises. I hope people enjoyed what I did manage to put out.
This is a super longggg series on Feng Xin being a doctor and Mu Qing being a teacher, and together the two of them raise Cuo Cuo!! The Found Family series of all my works
I would not recommend reading these works as a stand off. As much as I can, I try to make it less confusing without knowledge of the previous fic, but considering it’s all a connected story, it’s quite hard to do

He had intimate knowledge of Feng Xin’s habits, the way his fists clenched until his veins became more pronounced, the small smile that lifted the corners of his lips whenever his arrow hit a target just the way he wanted to. The warm cedar and leather musk when he got too close to Mu Qing, the way his eyes flashed whenever Hua Cheng said something annoying.
And yet Mu Qing didn’t know that Feng Xin was ticklish.

"Your hair's a mess." Feng Xin's fingers were running through it, catching on matted snarls and crushed mud.
"Yeah, almost like someone yanked me through a mudslide a few hours ago." He hissed back, praying his ears weren't as red as they felt.
Feng Xin laughed again. "Let me."
There were surprisingly gentle fingers in his hair, gently removing his guan, tugging the hairpin free of the mud and snarls and letting Mu Qing's silver hair fall free down his back.
He was going to blame the heat of the water for the red splashed across his face. It had nothing to do with the tiny, reassuring smile Feng Xin gave him before running the fingers of his free hand through Mu Qing's long hair spread out in the pool around them.
