Summary
Jayce finds himself dreading an upcoming investors gala, intended to turn him into an investment to be capitalized upon. He desperately wants Viktor to join him for once, but unsurprisingly, Viktor says no. After some pushing, Viktor gives Jayce one condition that needs to be met in order for him to attend. Temptation and desire cloud his judgement, and he agrees; Jayce truly has no idea what he's getting himself into.

“Jayce, will you be a good boy and tell me the truth?”
He was smart enough not to trust his voice at this moment, and nodded rapidly, daring not to tear his gaze from Viktor’s. It didn’t matter anyway, as Viktor broke their stare to lean closer to Jayce, letting his lips brush his ear.
“Did I arouse you?”Jayce was a simple man. He was an inventor, a bright mind, a daring soul, yes. But at the end of the day, he was a simple man with simple, innate urges. When a beautiful man is whispering in your ear, and cradling your neck, you really have no choice but to be one. So, Jayce couldn’t help but give in, and let himself be that simple man.

Jayce is too sleep deprived and infatuated with Viktor to control his wanting stares, and Viktor decides that something must be done about this.

Summary
Jayce has always been prone to bright, intense bursts of emotion, Viktor knows. When he met him, he was about to make the most final decision a person can make. Something a person just doesn’t do if they didn’t feel so terribly, so deeply. Later, he seemed to stabilize, to manage his emotions with more ease.
Of course, now, after everything, all that progress is down the drain. Jayce cries some days just looking at Viktor, like he can’t believe he’s in front of him, that Viktor wants him. As if there was any version of Viktor that could ever not want Jayce Talis.
