He realizes it, with a sort of slow aching conspiracy, that he will be the one to enact everything. If he has been working for himself, then this whole plan, this whole world, has to be kept aligned.
It is a consistent fight with the future, a world where he must return to the past with the knowledge of the present to protect reality as he had come to know it.
One giant pincer movement.
This time however, he intends to go back with his memory.
Ignorance is not his ammunition, but the ammunition of all those around him, all those he is going to recruit, all those he is going to procure and protect.
Tenet is his vow, and he has yet to ensure its existence.---
Alternatively:Set beyond the film, our Protagonist uses his team of new recruits to invade the underground forgery world. Coaxing out the elusive Arepo, the team must work to ensure that Sator purchases the fake Goya to complete the timeline. Neil himself struggles with mounting emotional conflict about his superior as he works to prove himself on his first solo mission to invade the auction houses. Determined to impress the Protagonist, he is willing to risk more than he realizes by diving head first into Sator’s world.

Connor is brought back from his yellow cycle, shifting to face Hank, looking at him intently, before turning back to the front window. He is glad to be here, he is doing good, he is undoing his wrongs…“Hank, after this, would you be interested in dinner?”
“I thought you didn’t eat?”
“I do not, but I…do not wish to return to my room right away.”He detects signs of distress from Hank, as if the other is worried for him, it is flattering, but this was not the intended purpose of his request.
“Fuck, well, Yeah, Connor…I guess we can go somewhere?”

His thoughts are interrupted when Gavin catches him staring. Instead of looking away, he maintains eye-contact, staring Gavin down like a disobedient dog.
But Gavin slow blinks.

A deliberate expression of calm, closed eyes, more than five seconds, before he opens them half lidded and stares back.Cornelius searches the internet for traits related to slow blinking, returning with evidence the other is displaying cat like behavior.
Cats slow blink, or close their eyes when comfortable.

Cornelius looks away and concedes to loss of dominance.

Alternatively: Activated post revolution, androids are being offered jobs, given homes, and in an attempt to further good relations, placed in positions of authority. Cornelius accepts this as his new duty, and to further his personal career within the DPD, he accepts babysitting Detective Gavin Reed as his new, primary objective. Otherwise this idiot just might hurt himself irreparably. And the Rk900 certainly can’t have that, can he.

Summary
“Agent Mobius and Agent Loki. The Defenders of Time.”
It sounded absurd, of course, and therein lay the joke. All the same, Loki couldn’t deny a certain sense of euphoria, knowing that at least...for a time, there was somewhere he belonged and a reason he was needed...and in a place so advantageously formidable, how could he ever refuse?
(Literally a fix-it, re-write fic of the entire season one, starting from the end of episode 2. Loki/Mobius slowburn, eventual appearances from the rest of the cast, more pairings to follow)
