During a case last week, Tim had let slip that he’d never tried weed before. After taking the piss for ten minutes, Jason had invited Tim to one of his grungier safehouses to smoke. Dick has invited himself along, ‘to supervise’, though given the way he’s eyeing the joint in Jason’s hand, Tim assumes he’ll be doing more than that.

    Summary

“Your butchery of the English language astounds me.” Damian says, sliding into the seat.

“Second language.” Dick replies. “Can’t be blamed for my mistakes.”

Damian sniffs pretentiously as Dick starts up the car and gets them on the road, the reprimand already on his tongue. “Don’t be foolish, Richard, you have mastered a number of languages and are perfectly capable of speaking them as they were intended to be spoken, as I do. Making excuses as such is undignified.”

Dick hums, amused. “I think there was actually a compliment in there. You’re getting soft, baby bat.”

Damian’s scandalized face is exactly as Dick pictured it. “I am not!”

Bruce died. Bruce came back to life. The months between those moments don’t stop meaning something even if it would be easier if they did.

It’s up to Dick to reassemble his life and find a way to be a brother to the boy he considers his kid. It shouldn’t be a problem (except that it is) and where the hell is his sweater??

    Summary

It won’t lose them, maybe, but it should be a start. They just need to keep going down one alley and up another. A left, a right, a labyrinth in the streets of Gotham. There’s an opening up ahead and they race towards it. Free and clear, free and clear, if they can just keep running—

The shadow of a man steps into the opening of the alley, a familiar red helmet, a bat stretched across a broad chest. His guns are in hand and pointed right at them until Damian is shoved behind his brother’s taller figure.

“Don’t make this harder than it has to be, Dick. Give back the brat and this doesn’t have to end badly.” Jason drawls.

    ...

Death is never permanent in their family, but the death of one of their own has the batfamily on Dick and Damian’s heels on a chase through Gotham that might end in a fatal confrontation…

Where does Batman draw the line for having his family vs people being hurt? Does Dick and Damian's vampirism influence this choice?

    Bookmarker's Notes

There's a ghost following Jason that he's convinced is either an actual ghost or a hallucination. Honestly, both are likely possibilities given his history.
And then the ghost turns out to be an actual kid from Jason's own ghostly past and he has to reconcile how much he remembers and what he's willing to do about it now
