He wound his way through the dirt roads of Greece, perched like a statue atop his brilliantly white horse. The perfect recreation of a god incarnate. His coming to town was heralded before his arrival. Not by him, but by word of mouth, village to village, nobleman to nobleman.
The rich clung to him, inviting him to their homes and gatherings. Hoping that his nearness might somehow give them notoriety and favor with the gods. That his immortality would bestow onto them something sacred.

Summary
When Dean accidentally gets his first look at Cas’s true form, he freaks out. After that, he also notices a couple things: Cas’s wings look like they need some serious TLC, and his eyes are almost all the same shade of red.
Cas never thought Dean would see his angel form. He never thought Dean would see how disheveled his wings were, and more importantly, he never thought Dean would see his true eyes. The red signifies love for a human, and Dean can’t know about that.
But when Dean offers to groom Cas’s wings, Cas can’t help but let him, even if it means letting Dean see his true form again. As Dean takes care of Cas’s wings, it becomes harder and harder for them both to hide how they feel about each other.

Summary
When news of a supposed angel attack reach the kingdom of Winchester, they don't hesitate to send Dean to invade Enoch with a declaration of war, despite the fact that they haven't had any contact with the powerful creatures in centuries. What follows is a swift and utter defeat that would have cost Dean his life if it weren't for general Castiel's intervention. But saving the prince's life comes at a great cost to Cas; half of his Grace now burns in Dean and Cas will bleed out what he has left, unless he can convince the human to complete what is supposed a soul bond. To uncover why exactly Winchester attacked the angels - and to save himself from a life of misery - Cas makes a deal with the Kingdom of Winchester: Enoch won't retaliate for the invasion and Cas will claim Dean as his husband.
