But it seems that the unassuming target is far more valuable than RIIS anticipated--something COTECH (RIIS's rival agency) plans to take full advantage of.
With the help of Patton Hart and agent Logan Fletcher, they plan to expose these plans and topple the corrupt rival agency.

Summary
To prevent confusion, it should be explained that just as Prince, Heart and Logic were superheroes, known as the Light Side, Duke, Deceit and Anxiety (Virgil) were supervillains, known as the Dark Side. Not that they did much villainy, except robbing corporations and causing general mayhem for the rich assholes that lived in the city. Duke was Prince’s twin, which meant they were arch-enemies already, and it was easy to mutually decide that Heart and Deceit could be enemies just like Anxiety and Logic could be enemies. This worked fine for Virgil.
What also worked fine for Virgil was this train of thought that the three supers in front of him had started. No, he wasn’t mute, he just didn’t like to talk much in battle. However, he was not above having a little fun until his teammates came to get him from the building he was being held in, so instead of talking and telling the group that he could, in fact speak, he did the following.
Virgil tilted his head curiously, tapped on the table twice to ensure he had everyone’s attention, and then spoke for the first time in the last however long they had had him.

Summary
Logan has a complicated life. He has his research, his teaching, and his relationship to maintain with Patton and later their son Virgil. All of this is only even more complicated by his other frequent activity: being the superhero Bluebird. Logan deals with most of his issues the way he has since he was a child. He sorts, labels, and files them either in his mind or in his extensive physical filing system. Yet, despite his logical filing system, sometimes it fails. Sometimes he is forced to reevaluate and relabel some of his files. Other times, he simply watches as they shift around on their own. He learns throughout his life that sometimes things that don't seem to have a place, are the things that belong most with him.

“Virgil!” Patton yelled just as he popped his finger in his mouth.
Virgil had stiffened at the sound of his name and whirled back to face a very mad Patton and a surprised Logan. The taste of avocado had hit the back of his throat, which almost made him feel great: it tasted just as earthy as he remembered it being when his mother made it, with just the right bitter aftertaste that made Virgil want more, although he didn’t remember it being quite so prominent--
“That was the Prince’s Cake!” Patton had shouted, “As in Prince Remus! I don’t care if you are in good graces with his highness! That was a stupid- stupid -stupid-- what on earth were you thinking? Virgil--!!”
And that was when Virgil had first felt the burning, like an itch in his throat that had suddenly swept him up. Patton’s voice had faded as he grabbed for his own throat, for his chest, for anything to remove the sudden agony ravaging his body. He had toppled straight off the counter in the middle of whatever else Patton had shouted, taking the cake right down with him.
