Summary
Dropped into Thedas, Kirkwall to be specific, Minerva has some hard times before she finds her way. Making money, finding places to stay, and gaining skills she needs to survive are all things she needs to work out if she expects to make her way in a world so different from her own. The story here is mostly snapshots of events and her dealing with the people she met along the way. This involves getting herself mixed up with the plot of DA2 more often than she’d like.
This story begins with the first time she meets Cullen.

Armand has notes for Daniel's documentary on Lestat. He sends him unhinged emails about it. Armand breaks into other people's minds so he can stalk Daniel more efficiently. (I'm trying to channel the pure insanity of Devil's Minion, but also tie in the current season. There will be one chapter per Vampire Lestat episode).
“I drank that disgusting drink so you could taste it,” and he holds out his still-bleeding fingertip. Smiles: small, tentative. “Please?”
Daniel’s crossed the room, and he’s cracked down to his knees which Armand wasn’t expecting (Armand almost calls out: “your knees!” forgetting Dan’s bones are no longer human bones), and he has Armand’s finger in his mouth and he’s sucking. Armand gasps in, horks in the air. Staggers back so he’s got his other hand bracing on the counter.
“How do I- taste?” Armand hisses.
Daniel guides Armand’s knuckle deeper, then pops it out. “Vermouth. No annihilation.”

Rook raised an eyebrow at him. “I wouldn’t have expected you to be interested in my training.”
Solas looked surprised, “You tread a path whose shadows you embrace, because it leads to a destination that you choose. I, too, have found that sometimes in the quiet stillness of the night, such darkness reveals truths that daylight hides.” A wolfish grin crossed his face as he added, “And perhaps it is not only the shadows that hold my interest.”
She said quickly in an attempt to fill the silence, “Watching me is not all that interesting.”
“Would it disappoint you to learn that I found it to be a pleasurable pastime?” Solas asked lightly.
Rook’s stomach swooped as she responded in a kind of test flirt just to see how far he would take this. “I had no idea that you found watching me . . . pleasurable.”
Solas approached her. He captured her in his gaze, his eyes bright with interest. “Perhaps I enjoy discovering what prowls in the night. I find curiosity often leads to unexpected delights.” Solas started to leave, but before he disappeared he said, “The blanket was most welcome.”
He knew! Of course, he knew.
Rook had no idea that Solas could be so . . . provocative.
