From a very young age, he is taught that his desires are unnatural, freakish, horrifying. Possibly he's punished for getting an erection, waking up with sticky sheets, maybe even when someone senses he's aroused (smell, touch telepathy, whatever).
"So basically, Spock knows next to nothing about sex (except that it's Bad with a capital B) and is deeply ashamed of his desires. Cue some h/c in the form of K/S, yes? Yes."
