"Not all of them," Rodney corrected him. "Look."
John looked the way his friend was pointing. "Let me guess. Your buddy Not-Sam," he chuckled when he saw the small whale.
"Mmph. I like to think so. I like to think he's saying goodbye," Rodney mussed.
"Makes sense. He saved your life, now you've saved his. Eh, you're even."
They stood there in a silence for a moment. Then Rodney spoke. "You saved him. Yeah, I know, nothing of that would be possible had I not deciphered the whale’s song and connect the ZPM to the Daedalus‘ systems and such, but you? You figured it all out. Guess you picked out a thing or two from your stint with the Ancients, huh?"
"Yeah, " John nodded absentmindedly. "I guess I did."

Signe Grimborn, youngest of three, never wanted to hunt dragons. She hides a secret, you see. She's a dragon rider.
When both her brothers try to push her down a path she doesn't want to follow, she can't help but lash out in anger. A bond is broken and she takes off, feeling desperate and betrayed.
A familiar face crosses her path and a mysterious magical item enters her possession. A potion bottle with a promise to change her fate.
She returns to her brothers, both hopeful and full of spite. Lies are told, a cup offered, and a transformation takes place. Now she has to try and fix it.
But how much time does she have before her mistakes become permanent? How long before she loses the person she cares about most?
Or: Signe gives Viggo a potion and he gets turned into a dragon. Now the two siblings have to figure out how to undo it before the potion's effects become permanent.
