Summary
Poor afterlife choices bring Alastor to risk his life and temporarily lose his powers.
Even worse, when he wakes up in Vox’s bed a few days later, he realises he is the one he should thank for being alive.With few options left, a reluctant cohabitation begins, but a few things have changed in Vox’s life since the dark period that followed his public breakdown, and Alastor just feels… unsettled about it.
He shouldn’t care.
He doesn’t care.
And yet, when Vox decides he’s done playing their sick old game, Alastor decides he’s willing to do anything not to let him do it.
OR
An undesirable cohabitation forces Alastor to face his worst fear: being weak, being vulnerable, and not being able to hide it from the man who knows him better than anyone else.

Like clockwork, Alastor begins his rut cycle. He is stocked up on enough sinner meat for three weeks and is eager to catch up on his reading. However, there is one thing he can't prepare for: his own shadow. While Alastor can entertain himself with books and killing gators in his bayou, his pesky shadow wants a little more stimulation of the carnal variety.
His patience wears thin and his bratty shadow runs off again. He doesn't know where, and normally he doesn't care. What he doesn't know is that Inky is about to get what it wants with Alastor's rival.
