Summary
The Library works in mysterious ways. The Librarians learn that the Library grants them the ability to share their thoughts with each other. It's not constant, but if they want to share their thoughts and communicate, they simply have to think of the person (or persons) and will for the others to hear them.
Ezekiel Jones doesn't let them know that he can hear them. He never responds. The magic relies on a deep bond between them. He simply can't face knowing that they're all bonded. It means connection and history and it all has a meaning. But he's Ezekiel Jones, he's expendable. So what happens when Ezekiel has to stop pretending and use the bonds?

really just character introspection with me projecting some of my own traumas onto steve throughout the seasons! I do have more written for this but until its a coherent continuation, I ended it where it can be a bittersweet one-shot :P
