Summary
It's that time of year again: Preparations for the school's annual dance are underway. And there are four students who are tasked with organising it.
Natsuki can't bear to spend any more time at home with her abusive father. So, afterschool preparations are her excuse to get out of the house, and planning the dance is just the escape she needs.
Sayori already knows exactly what she'll tell anyone who asks: "I'm doing this to make everyone happy!" But in reality, it's a distraction from what her life has become: A dark tunnel with no escape. And maybe this will finally be the exit to it all.
Yuri, who has no friends in her life, decides to sign up in the hopes that it will be enough for her to build the lasting connections and friendships that she has wanted all her life.
And finally, Monika, who has been attending this school for a year now after moving house, but still can't seem to adjust and be as loved as she was at her old one. So this is the chance she needs to make a good impression.
Can these four girls work together to make the dance a success?

Nothing is fair.
Monika would know. After all, Sayori basically threw her life away taking care of her. Her, a pest, an insignificant insect. Monika didn't even have the chance to do anything for her in return--at the past, she would bide her time. They always had time after all, so she would think.
Then Sayori died.
They had time--they always had time. But, Monika is a creature who's fortunate enough to live longer than humans in the right condition. And when she's not careful enough, that time can slip away--along with the things she cares for.
But it's not fair. Monika should've done better, she should've done something in the first place, should've noticed the signs earlier, should've done all that and more...
...All she asks is another chance, another day.
