Summary
The Crow appeared five minutes before the end of the ultimatum and hundreds of Trevisan citizens breathed a sigh of relief. The Antaam guards still kept their weapons leveled at the people herded into the marketplace, but the immediate threat of death had taken a step back the moment the assassin had entered the courtyard.
The master assassin nodded. “Every other Crow will leave Treviso for one year - and I turn myself in to you to die by means you deem proper to hold up order and peace in the city”, he recited calmly.

"Get …" she began while Emmrich was already lifting a hand to cast a warding spell and Lucanis was reaching for his weapons, but the energy exploded in a wave of blue-green light and rolled over the two men. At the same time, the eyes of the constructs came alive with an angry glow and they straightened, shaking off the detritus of centuries.
"Out!" she screamed and then her voice rose even higher when Emmrich gave an undignified and frightened, high-pitched squeal and seemed to disappear from one moment to the next while his robes crumpled and fell to the ground.
What happened to Lucanis was maybe worse.
AKA the Animal Transformation Trope was missing from the fandom and I'm happy to deliver. A little sad, a little cute, a little hurt and lots of comfort.
