Fizz doesn’t like it. All of a sudden, his best friend is busy all the time, skipping practice and disappearing during the time he normally spends with Fizz. All of a sudden, Blitzo has changed, like he’s grown four inches in a week, smiling all smugly to himself like he’s got some big secret. All of a sudden, Fizz finds himself all alone in his hammock, arranging his blankets into something vaguely imp-shaped. He clings to it in the dark, the scratchy fabric way too flimsy to feel like a body, the faint remnants of Blitzo’s smell his only consolation.
