Summary
When the RDA returns to Pandora, it decides to abandon a strategy that has already proven to be a failure. The forest-dwelling Omatikaya, led by Jake Sully, would never accept any kind of human approach. Instead, the corporation turns its attention to a people far removed from the war: the Metkayina.
To achieve this, a soldier from the naval division is sent to live among them under a false identity, with the mission of observing their culture, earning their trust, and assessing the possibility of peaceful coexistence between humans and the Na’vi.
