Satisfied, Phoenix took the other glass and started drinking some of his own. Edgeworth settled his glass down on the nightstand and looked at him intensely.
He lowered his glass a bit, tilting his head. “What is it?”
“This is not a dream…is it?” Edgeworth mused, before shaking his head. “No, I don’t think it is.”
Phoenix smiled softly before taking another sip of his water.
“If this were one of my usual dreams, we’d be kissing.”
Phoenix promptly inhaled his water, going into a coughing fit.

Knowing that Phoenix is bisexual, it doesn’t surprise him in the slightest that he’d be interested in that couple. Lang? Truth be told, that had been more than surprising—having shaken him to his core—but it was understandable, as he’s also had similar interactions with Agent Lang.
The point is, in the end, he still came out triumphant. His precious mind had still been intact—even after everything tried to break it. But this.

Naruto stares at it, then glances back up at him, searching for some kind of indication as to what the esteemed Kazekage is doing here on a random afternoon with a random cactus for him. He reaches no conclusion.
The first cactus makes sense. The ones that follow... Well, Naruto's trying to figure that out.

Summary
