Maybe the trip was getting to her—too many hours sitting and not sleeping well. That had to be the only explanation, because, at that moment, Annabeth was actually considering the guy’s argument in front of her.
Or Annabeth and Percy meeting on a train journey as complete strangers who start a casual conversation and end up getting off at the same place to spend a night strolling around Vienna.
