And now, I am trying my utmost to understand you, understand your past, and you…” She trails off, unable to keep going, and Anthony wonders if she is so distraught because of the storm or because of all their near-misses and almost-kisses.
“Have you not looked back?” Anthony asks, abandoning his pretences of decorum, for it is evident that Kate is not maintaining hers. “Every single time, are you truly telling me you felt nothing in return? Because if you did… if you felt nothing, tell me right now and I will walk away and we can agree that this conversation never happened.”
Set during and after the 2x04 library scene. What if Kate didn't walk away from Anthony when she did?
