Summary
Asami's mother died when she was six years old. Every year since, she and her father would visit her mother's grave. Now she is faced with visiting alone. A lot can happen in a year's time. And sometimes, painfully little.
What the hell, I can conveniently say this is for Korrasami Week 2017 - Day 7 (Family) if you'll forgive me for being a couple days early.

Summary
Okay, that might be a slightly presumptuous title. But the basic idea is that all of these short stories are in-between moments from the show, and shouldn't mess with the plot or continuity unless I made a mistake. Think of these as Korra's "The Great Divide," or something like that.
These are in chronological order with the series, not the order I wrote them, and they're meant to be read that way. They put a lot of the burden on the reader to be familiar with the associated episode, so it may help to re-watch!

Summary
There have been many lies in Asami Sato's life. Some she lived, and others fed to her. But, since you can't stop progress anymore than you can stop the world from spinning, unraveling the truth, about herself and everything around her, always takes a back seat to the current crisis. Of course, the strongest and most debilitating lie of all is the one she forces upon herself.
Since, to focus on herself would be unforgivable. Selfish. Arrogant. If so many are suffering, how can she allow herself to grieve? To put her own well-being first? To be happy? She can't. Not yet. But maybe, once all of this is over...
Maybe.
And yet, no matter how hard she fights, or how clever she is, she can never turn that "maybe" into "now".
This is the story of how Asami Sato went beyond the impossible, time and time again.
From her lowest point to her greatest triumph. Drowning in denial and grief to shattering the laws of reality to find happiness.
How she turned "maybe" into "forever".
Loosely inspired by the American folk tale of "John Henry the Steel Driving Man"

Summary
Time gets away from us. It slips through Asami's hands like water, much like the Avatar that slipped away from her two years prior. Each moment disappears into memory with no time to pause as she fights to realize her highest potential in a world that may try to stop her and confronts the feelings that threaten to consume her. As the hours tick away, Asami must discover if the life she wants is achievable before the wheels of time pass her by.
