Summary
In the middle of watching Eddie awkwardly date his teacher girlfriend, Buck is abruptly cut out of their lives in an attempt to help Chris and Ana bond. Feeling more alone than ever, he grasps the welcoming hands that enfold him into their family. A mother he'd never had, a father he'd always wanted.
Like his favorite instrument, his life was like a piano. Sometimes out of tune but with love and care, it can sound beautiful.

Summary
The internet is losing its mind over a Los Angeles firefighter who seems to know how to do absolutely everything. Christopher Diaz would like to take credit for that.
Or
A 4+1 fic inspired by nlpiersee's "You came / You Called", exploring some of what Evan Buckley picked up during his years on the road — and the one thing only a firefighter would know.

Summary
It’s a well known fact that Buck is a good guy. Everyone knows that. Hell: the LAFD as a whole probably knows how good of a guy Buck is. He did save a dozen people during the tsunami while he was off duty while he was recovering and on blood thinners. A feat that the 118 hadn’t been aware of until one year after the tsunami, when one of the victims spoke up and named him as Firefighter Buck. The LAFD had recognized him for his bravery and Buck? He’d brushed it off like it was nothing.
So yeah, Buck’s a good guy. A great guy. But does he know how great he is? You would tell him and he would probably brush it off and tell you he’s just as good as everyone else.
The 118 know this, of course they do, but it all starts to come into clarity for them on a
stormy day when Buck shows up to work looking like a wet dog and one by one, they notice the little things that Buck does for them.Or: a 7+1 where the 118 realize just how GOOD Buck is. Comfort, no hurt.
