Summary
When Neil was nine his father sold him to the Moriyama's. He was sent to a facility were his body was changed to be inhuman. Eight years later Neil gets an offer from the Foxes. He is approached a familiar face, Kevin Day. They were both survivors and have had to live with the price ever since. Neil has to choose between his safety and comfort in someone who's experienced the same hardships.

Neil is experimented on as a kid and gets superpowers. He runs into Kevin, who also has powers, and decides to join the Foxes.

Summary
Neil Josten is on the run.
His father, otherwise known as “The Butcher”, wants him dead, and it seems that the longer he runs, the closer they come to catching him.
In a desperate attempt to seek safety, Neil joins a school for magical youth that is run by an organisation called DICOMY. It doesn’t last. DICOMY quickly labels him as a special needs case, and they decide to send him away to a place called Marsyas Island, leaving Neil to make one last choice.
