Summary
This story is a retelling of Final Fantasy VII, offering two different first-person perspectives: Tifa and Aerith. It centers on their connection, as their group takes on evil, and the perils of the end of the world. Some plots are reimagined but canon is still the backbone.
Update: This is a very long fic. It should really be broken up into three separate installments (3 discs, 3 remakes...just makes sense)--but I've just been going with the flow, and here I am. For your reference: Chapters 1-10 center on Remake, Chapters 11-35 follow Rebirth, and Chapters 36 - End based on OG Disc 3.

Summary
"My pleasure," came the response, as the flower girl abruptly peeled off her ruined dress. Blood rushed to Tifa's cheeks; she was unable to stop herself watching as Aeris delved into the bag retrieving the pink dress and red bolero jacket she'd been wearing before. The martial artist abruptly noticed she was being watched out of the corner of the other's eye, and snapped her gaze away hastily.
Aeris is into Tifa; Tifa realizes she's into Aeris as they begin their pursuit of Sephiroth and are drawn into the web of events with grave implications for the future of the Planet.

Summary
7 times Tifa and Aerith share a first kiss across different timelines. Sometimes it’s purposeful, sometimes quick and accidental but each time is meaningful to them no matter the universe.
Maybe it's during an inadvertent game of keep away or after a meet-cute in a bar in Wall Market or during a drunken romp around the Gold Saucer or the result of a rescue attempt that completely deviates from its intention or sometimes an unexpected feathered baby brings them closer or by the culmination of years of friendship being tested or when defying fate has unexpected changes to their once history.
