Summary
The Dessendre family has ruled over Paris' criminal underground for as long as Gustave can remember. Murder, theft, trafficking, there is no crime they haven't committed, yet their wealth and influence has allowed them to walk free for generations. For Gustave and his allies, taking down the family's matriarch, Aline Dessendre, is the only way to free Paris from villainy.

Summary
Gustave had been ready to sacrifice himself for his sister.
He had not been ready for his sister to drag him back from death itself.
With Renoir’s final Gommage looming over them, Gustave is constrained to accept co-leading the expedition with Verso, a powerful Alpha. To add to Gustave’s frustration, his own Alpha dynamic has weakened—command lacks authority, need for control is secondary and his sensitivity to pheromones is deficient. As if he needed all of that while trying to save the canvas…
Apparently, such was the price of being reborn from old chroma.
But the true cost lingered…
