Grace truly must have lost his mind a little bit to even be considering the proposition - this is the antithetical to the message of literally every single alien sci-fi film in the fricking world.
And yet he's thinking about it.
Rocky and him have been getting a lot more hands on with their experimentation now that they can make contact.
Well technically the first priority was pulling Rocky into his arms and crying into his carapace for an hour or two. Oops.
But the second priority was exploration.

He is still holding the bear when he scoots closer to Adrian, nuzzling into their carapace. It is not unlike what a pebble would do in distress. But, unlike an Eridian, Adrian opens two of their limbs to welcome Grace in for a hug.
"Thank you," Grace says, mostly into Adrian's carapace.
"It is my pleasure."
Adrian still thinks Grace is the softest thing on Erid. But at least now he won't be the only one.

“Not… not many times. Like. Once,” I stammer, gripping the edge of the counter. Maybe I should sit. I definitely should sit. I collapse back into the chair, staring at the ceiling.
“What happen, question? Grace have not many partners. No one want procreate with Grace, question? Sad sad sad. Embarrass, but Rocky no tell anyone.” Okay that’s it, I’m not having this discussion any longer.
TLDR: Grace doesn’t think he has much sexual experience. Well… he still has some remembering to do.

Normally, an answer like this prompts a very nosy Rocky. This time, however, the Eridian lets it go.
"Ah, yes. Leaky space blob thoughts. Will not interrupt. Come to lab once you are done."
Grace watches him roll away, feeling like he's already losing Rocky. It's a dumb thought, but he's a dumb human, and it seems his dumb heart has come online for the first time ever.
OR
Grace catches Feelings with a capital F and believes he's alone in them. Rocky shows Grace he will never be alone again.
