The fire was supposed to be The End, but it turned out to be just the beginning. Henry and Elizabeth both must face their pasts and redeem themselves. Both have done horrible things, and both have reasons. Both have moral issues. And both can’t rest until it’s all done.

A fic centered around a lot of the aspects of characters like Elizabeth Afton and Henry that in my opinion are often overlooked, and gives both of these underrated and misunderstood characters what I believe to be a deserved redemption arc, as well as adding some more complexities to already existing characters that were left up to interpretation, like Aunt Jen and the Crying Child!AKA
Jesus fuck I suck at writing summaries but basically the Elizabeth Afton and Henry Emily parental fic no one asked for but I’m delivering anyways because I think it’s a concept which highlights underrated parts of both characters, and both of these mfs need more attention and redemption arcs.INDEFINITE HIATUS- will return eventually but I have no clue when

Aziraphale has taken to counting the seconds after a lightning flash. He never used to but now, after Armageddon has surfaced and failed, he counts. It's like establishing a bubble every time, a radius in which he has nothing to worry about.

Aziraphale smiled, and pressed a gentle kiss to Crowley’s forehead. “Sit up for me, love?”
Crowley obeyed. A pleasant tingle shivered up Aziraphale’s spine, as he watched Crowley obey the suggestion. While the ‘going into subspace’ ritual was mostly for Crowley, Aziraphale would be lying if he denied getting a certain thrill out of his side of this arrangement. He got to cater to his beloved’s desires, to take care of him, make him feel warm and safe and cherished and loved, in such an intense and all-encompassing way.
If this ritual provided Crowley with safety, it also provided Aziraphale with the opportunity to be a guardian, the way he’d always longed to be.
