Angel’s memory of sweet times with Valentino is soured, because of what Valentino’s done to him. So here he is, trying to sour his memory of his stay at the Hazbin Hotel as well, on purpose. Because of himself. Because of what he did.
And yet, just like he still perversely, irrationally wants Valentino, he still wants so badly to go back to the Hotel.
Angel Dust reflects on why he keeps going back to Val... and why this time it has to stick.

He’s a fucking queer, alright? She’s not blind. He’s a fucking queer and he wears it on his sleeve like it’s nothing to be ashamed of and it gives her hope, as stupid as it is. That it doesn’t really matter, now that they’re six feet under with no second chances. That if the Radio Demon can do it, so can she.
