Summary
The iron chain drags across the floor as Tyler moves around the kitchen. After so many years, he’s gotten used to the way it coils on the linoleum floor and wraps around furniture legs. He no longer trips over the links or gets yanked back by the ankle when he runs out of length. Whenever he locks the shackle around his ankle, it still takes a moment to get used to the heavy weight, but less and less every day. One thing that hasn’t changed is how much he hates it.
*
When Tyler unlocks his Hyde years before Marilyn Thornhill returns to Jericho, the Galpin bunker gets put to its intended use.

Summary
“Here’s the deal,” Atlas says, voice clipped and short, stuffing his wallet back into a pocket to let an off-white envelope appear in his palm. “You’ve been robbing people at my show — it’s bad for my reputation. Frankly, I shouldn’t even be talking to you, and the only reason that I am is because I know telling you to stop would only make you double down and do it even more.”
“You don’t know that,” Bosco says determinedly, and Charlie can’t stop the grin on his face as he turns to look at him. Bosco’s always contrarian solely for the sake of it, determined to disagree only because he can, and it would appear that not even meeting one of their biggest idols could stop him. “We could totally still be rational people.”
“You pick pockets at pop-up magic shows,” Atlas says derisively, “you’re not rational people in the slightest. I know you’re getting a pretty good score, and me asking you to stop while offering no incentive is practically useless. So, here — I’m paying you to quit robbing my audience. Now, begone.”

After the Horsemen break up, J. Daniel Atlas isn't doing very well — until three kids keep robbing his audience. Somehow, they grow on him.

Episode tag s2.ep.5 "Preternatural". Once again Colter seems very badly hurt and has just shrugged off the physical and mental trauma by the next episode. This explores what happens if it wasn't quite so easy, that there are complications about leaving trails of blood and bodies. Maybe Colter needs more help than he realised.
A/N everyone was so lovely with the last story, thankyou so much for your comments and kudos! Writing again some Colter / Reenie hurt comfort because I think the show needs more of it! Also, I am British, i've tried to keep the wording as American as possible but also apologies if my details of US police procedure isn't right, it's pretty different over here!
