Summary
An AuDHD human is struggling to do the basics like eating and bathing, so they volunteer to be a plant alien's pet -- as long as meals are taken care of. An aromantic, asexual affini working at the domestication center adopts them into their odd little family of a beeple, a rinan, and a catgirl.
(this is written in first person with two different points of view: human and affini)

Summary
The Terran Accord needs a miracle. System after system has fallen to the Affini Compact, crawling ever closer to Terra and the Sol System. Deep within the Capitol, ten experts have been summoned for Operation Battery Staple, a last ditch effort to find anything that might stem the bleeding and give the Accord a chance. Mark Solak, analyst, is among those experts. It’s up to him to keep a clear head and figure out how to use everything the other experts create.
It’s also going to be his job to secretly reach out to the Affini and figure out what the proposed Human Domestication Treaty actually means. Determine if the absurd terms contained within are just misdirection, or if they’re somehow the actual terms for peace.

Summary
Vic spends most of his time trapped inside the high tower of the Castle, an OCNI base in the outer reaches of the Terran Accord. He spends his days drinking tea, monitoring automated systems, and reading books he'd rather other people not know about. It's a boring life, but one that he's accustomed to. At least, it's boring until the Affini show up.
With the Affini bearing down on the Castle, Vic engages an emergency defense protocol that locks the Castle down and seals it underground. Unfortunately, a handful of affini manage to slip inside. At least there's only four of them. Just how much damage can four Affini do?
