Unfortunately, William is always too nervous and too head-over-heels to function properly in front of him, so he ends up making a fool out of himself every time.

    But! It's time to change the narrative. How? With a party for William's birthday on Valentine's.

    Est lives his life like a military operation.

    Everything has a schedule, a place, and a correct way to exist. He likes his routines the way oxygen likes being essential—strict, non-negotiable, and personally offensive if interrupted. He likes silence, order, and people who know how to stay out of his way.

    Unfortunately for him, William exists.

    A disaster with zero respect for Est’s blood pressure. Personal space? Optional. Boundaries? Decorative. William keeps appearing in every corner of Est’s carefully planned life like an annoying cockroach that refuses to die with that same grin that could steal hearts.

    William insists it’s destiny, Est is convinced it’s a curse.

    Which is exactly why Est has no idea how a simple literature review somehow escalated into him sitting on William’s lap kissing him like there would be bonus points afterward.

    And the worst part?

    William looks at him like this had always been the final answer, and Est—just missed the whole entire lecture.

    "You've been facing the lifeguard tower for three hours."

    "...The sun is... over there."

    "The sun is directly behind you, William. It's setting."

    William is a man who treats the ocean like an eldritch horror. He distrusts sand and avoids seawater. He has absolutely no business being at the beach. And yet, every single afternoon, he arrives at the beach and insists he's only there to maximise his vitamin D exposure.
    He is absolutely, one hundred per cent not there to stare at the pretty boy.
    Est, the local celebrity lifeguard, definitely notices the handsome dentist tracking his shifts from beneath a ridiculous bucket hat. He can't resist making it his personal mission to coax William a little closer to the shoreline, even if he has to do it one highly reluctant ankle-dip at a time.
